The Institute for Cultural Evolution will be participating in the Integral European Conference 2021, which will again be held online due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
ICE’s President, Steve McIntosh, will be giving a keynote highlighting the emerging Post-Progressive perspective that you won’t want to miss:
The Rise of Post-Progressive Politics
Politics in America have been broken for quite a while, and many Europeans are deeply concerned about the future of American democracy. The troubling hyperpolarization of American culture, however, can also be seen as a powerfully problematic life condition that can lead to further cultural evolution. In response to this challenge, the emerging “post-progressive” political perspective advocated by the Institute for Cultural Evolution offers a way forward. Because this new perspective is effectively positioned “outside and above” the continuum of Left and Right, it has the power to reconcile and harmonize competing worldviews, and thereby restore the minimum degree of social solidarity necessary for a functional democracy. While European polities may not be as polarized as America, the need to integrate competing worldviews is a challenge that European countries are increasingly facing. By using its central method of “cultural intelligence,” the post-progressive approach to politics can help evolve consciousness in both America and Europe by increasing the scope of what people can value.
Please consider joining us at the Integral European Conference 2021. The online nature of this year’s conference makes it possible for higher participation rates, and we would love to have supporters of the Institute for Cultural Evolution to be a part of the conversation.

We are thrilled to introduce our newest Senior Fellow, David Storey, and his new article in the PPP:
David's article highlights why the post-progressive approach to climate change is the key to paving a new path forward on the climate crisis.
Check out our approach to achieving a win-win-win for everybody in our new Global Climate Change issue position at the Post-Progressive Post:
Instead we need to embrace the “good” solution to climate change, and the integral/post-progressive worldview has a unique capacity to find a version of “the good” that all major worldviews can resonate with. 2/
As the last week has made clear, we can’t afford to wait for the “perfect” solution to climate change to succeed amidst our raging culture war. 1/
We’re not really seeking common ground, we’re staking out a kind of higher ground wherein a more inclusive level of cultural solidarity can emerge. Notwithstanding America's hyperpolarization, we’re buoyed by our practice of virtues, which includes hope as a habit of the heart.
